Intent to cancel/verification of payment email FAQs

Will any user in my agency be able to “opt-in” to receive email notifications, or is it still limited?

Any user with an active Hanover user ID will now have the opportunity to receive daily Intent to Cancel and/or Verification of Payment emails. In addition, they will have the flexibility to enroll by line of business (Personal Lines or Commercial Lines) for each producer code.

I do not currently receive these emails. How do I ‘opt-in’?

  • Begin by logging into TAP.
  • Navigate to Agency Tools and, on the bottom right, select “Billing Email Notifications” within the Email Notification section.
  • This will take you to the Intent to Cancel and Verification of Payment Email Preferences screen, where you will manage your choices by producer code and email type.

I already receive these emails. Is there anything I need to do?

This change does not reset any previous enrollment actions. However, we now offer additional flexibility, so that you can enroll by line of business (Personal Lines or Commercial Lines) for each producer code.

Will I continue to receive notifications for both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines in a single email?

For greater flexibility, notifications will be specific to the line of business. You will receive Intent to Cancel and Verification of Payment notifications in separate daily emails for Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.

I don’t remember my password. How do I reset it?

Select the Forgot Your Password link from the TAP logon page and follow the onscreen instructions. Your agency administrator is also able to reset your password; as well as the Commercial Lines Help Team (800-626-6601, option 4), or the Personal Lines Agency Support Team (800-922-8427).

How do I find out who my agency administrator is?

  • For Commercial Lines, contact the Commercial Lines Help Team at 800-626-6601, option 4
  • For Personal Lines, contact your Agency Support Team at 800-922-8427

Why don’t I see all of my producer codes when I log in?

Producer codes are associated with individual user log-ons. If you do not see the agency code you need for your report, please check with your agency administrator.

As a Hanover agency administrator, how do I manage the active users within my agency?

User access is managed by privileged users through The Hanover’s agency administration system. The link to the system is located on the Agency Tools screen within the Administration and Management section.

From the Agency Administration link, choose User Administration for managing your agency’s users.

How can I determine which individuals in my agency have ‘opted-in’ to receive notifications?

  • For Commercial Lines, contact the Commercial Lines Help Team at 800-626-6601, option 4
  • For Personal Lines, contact your Agency Support Team at 800-922-8427
